Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Cherise Lorèn, Founder of Elite Bridal Beauty, located in East Moriches, NY, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Elite Bridal Beauty is an on-location luxury hair and makeup company traveling to couples in NYC, the Hamptons, and worldwide. We offer education for artists and creatives looking to organize, grow and scale their businesses.

Tell us about yourself

I am the CEO of a multi-six-figure bridal beauty company, Elite Bridal Beauty. As both a Makeup Artist and Beauty Business Mentor, I work with creatives who want to grow and scale their business that is profitable and aligned with their life. I've always wanted to combine my love of beauty with my passion for helping others.

I grew up without money being handed to me, so I knew I wanted to build something of my own, be my own boss, and create a space where I can help creatives with a dream (just like me) succeed and do good for themselves. Each day I am motivated by my daughter so she can see the impact we women can make.

I am motivated to continue to lead those who want to work in beauty as an artist but may not want to do the back-end biz (that's where my bridal team comes in) or the creative who knows they have what it takes to be a CEO but needs a mentor to help them gain clarity and confidence in themselves and their business. I truly love what I do, and I hope I can spread that to others, so we see more and more artists creating financial freedom while having fun doing it.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Building a loyal, talented team that is truly aligned with the vision of my company. I have worked out the kinks of hiring and manifesting my dream team.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Finally, understanding that it is not all about strategy. It's about your mindset. Overcoming the little voices that tell you you can't do it and burning out. I am continuously putting in the work so I can be a better leader and a better business owner, and in turn makes me a better wife, mother, and friend.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Consistently doing mindset work while starting and growing your business. At every different level of your business, we need to evaluate and reframe our thoughts and understand what it means to be in alignment and working from a place of abundance so that you are actively running a business you freaking love with ease. All successful entrepreneurs know the importance of mindfulness in business. It's what keeps them rising.
  2. Getting clear on the vision and ideal clients for your business, so you know who you are attracting and working with. When we work with clients that are not meant for us, we tend to burn out faster, we don't love what we do, and it's harder for us to grow the business.

3. Reflecting on your business as a whole. Knowing what went well and where   were opportunities for growth. Taking the time to sit down and map this out   will help you grow the business rather than remaining the same without               growth.
