What's your business, and who are your customers?

El Secreto Denver is creative donuts and Puerto Rican pastries. My clients are all lovers of donuts and good food. Why should you support us? Our product is different, fresh, and created entirely by us. In our product, you not only feel flavor and freshness, but you can also feel the effort and passion that we give to our customers. The long working days, the sleepless nights to be able to take home a flavor that you will not forget.

Tell us about yourself

José and I have been professional chefs for over 11 years. It all started at the beginning of the pandemic, we lost our jobs like everyone else, but my sister, who doesn't cook, started making brownies. She sold them, that inspired me ah (she can, I can). We sent for products from Puerto Rico. So we began to make breads, Puerto Rican producers, and a donut that José created was a hybrid of donuts and bengie. We began to knock on the door to give gifts to start to try us and people would be delighted with our product. They said they hadn't tried anything like it, and that emotion made us want to evolve. Once arrived, he was the first to find us, and many influencers supported us with our product so that people knew about us. Thanks to that, people began to know us. It is something I appreciate very much.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My greatest achievement is knowing that people love the product. For me, that is my satisfaction as the chef that we are. Knowing that people tell me that trying my creations is a pleasure for the palate.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The most difficult thing about being an owner is life's challenges to achieve this dream. Nothing is easy, but our customers and persistence give us the drive we need every day.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

The sky is the limit. Get inspired.
Patience and persistence are very important factors.
