What's your business, and who are your customers?

We provide an online service of cheese, cheese spreads, and sausage.

Tell us about yourself

My husband and I had discussed opening a cheese store for several years. We remodeled a house in Verona, which was our first cheese store. We moved our location to New Glarus for a greater possibility of tourists and events.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

At our stores, we provided artisan cheeses, what cheese maker made them, and any other information we could share about cheese making.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The success of an owner is to build a client base and advertise to bring in new customers.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Start with your best ideas and build upon them. Advertise locally. Check out other businesses like yours to share ideas.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Think through your plan and proceed with a positive outlook! It is a challenge to make a business be successful.
