What's your business, and who are your customers?

I show busy moms with gluten intolerance how to go gluten-free easily without cutting carbs, eating strange foods, or "counting" anything. On my site and through my weekly emails, I share healthy and gluten-free recipes and tips and tricks for going and staying gluten-free for life!

Tell us about yourself

A few years ago, I was diagnosed with non-celiac gluten sensitivity. This was after years of being on prescription strength medication for my stomach issues that wouldn't go away! I lived for years with painful bloating, debilitating nausea, and crushing anxiety.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Finding a way to help those that are in a similar position with their health and eating like I was.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Keeping up with all the demands on your time. You'll get pulled in a ton of directions, but it's important to stay focused, set daily tasks, and execute. Try not to get distracted with less important (but tempting) ways to spend your time.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Think about how you add value and how you can help - start with that.
  2. Learn about SEO (search engine optimization) - it will exponentially help to grow your organic traffic to your website.
  3. Find a community of like-minded people that you can connect with - it helps with things going up and down (which they inevitably will!).
