What's your business, and who are your customers?
Starmorph helps small businesses integrate artificial intelligence/machine learning into their tech stack. We specialize in creating Javascript web applications that utilize large language models and are able to reference your company's specific data.
Tell us about yourself
I have been building websites since I was really young and have always been in love with creating digital art. I am motivated by creating and empowering other creative people to build their visions.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is launching a previous business that went viral and did over $1M in sales on our launch day (business of 3 people). Other than that, I am grateful that Starmorph is currently serving hundreds of people a day, helping them learn and integrate machine learning into their businesses.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things about being a business owner is the balance of zooming out and getting the whole picture, mixed with the need to zoom back in and take immediate action to fix the issues slowing the business. It requires being multidisciplinary and constant context-switching to monitor all aspects of a business.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Just start building and sharing for free. Don't worry about over-sharing and giving away secrets; you have to give and offer something before people care, so don't start out selling something that you haven't determined people even want!
- Don't over-research; just build.
- Set up analytics and monitoring systems so you can begin to understand your users, their desires, and pain points, and develop a product and service that people are already looking for but don't know how to find a solution for.
