What's your business, and who are your customers?
My passion lies in assisting small to medium-sized businesses (annual sales of $3 M to $50 M), with a specialty in coaching and consulting family-owned businesses, who have often hit their internal glass ceiling, to achieve their organization's true potential, whilst delivering positive and profitable outcomes for their stakeholders and communities. Our client base includes multiple Australian businesses and executives as well as U.S. domestic clients.
Tell us about yourself
Following 25+ years in the corporate world in various multi-unit leadership and executive roles, my focus changed to the training, coaching, and development of individuals and businesses. Ultimately, helping others to succeed, prosper and achieve their true potential, both personally and professionally, is what drives us.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
When working with clients, our "Prepare, Care, and Dare" coaching methodology focus on the business, holistically facilitates sales and gross margin growth, and achieves double-digit net profits. I have over 3,000 logged business coaching and training hours in multiple industry segments.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Ensuring the discipline and commitment to consistently respond to all clients with the greatest sense of urgency and always putting the client's best interests at the forefront of every engagement and communication.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Have a well-defined strategic annual business plan with clearly defined metrics to monitor progress and the flexibility to rapidly course-correct as needed. As noted earlier, be the most responsive service provider in the market, be nimble, have urgency, and maintain great attention to detail. Get to know the businesses that you work with as well as they do! Become a subject matter in their business and become familiar with everyone in their organization so that you can become an indispensable resource to those to who you provide services.
