What's your business, and who are your customers?

We help dedicated strength enthusiasts get stronger faster and more safely using breakthrough training programs with kettlebells, bodyweight exercise, and the isometrics device, the Isomax.

Tell us about yourself

With a lifelong passion for Tai Chi, Qigong, bodyweight exercise, and weight training, I founded Dragon Door in 1991 to share my enthusiasm for what best worked to achieve optimal health and strength. I am motivated every day by the life-changing results our customers continue to get from our training programs and innovative exercise equipment.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Launching the modern kettlebell movement in the United States in 2001.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Being solely responsible for the ultimate success or failure of the business.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Share what you are most passionate about with others who appreciate what you have to offer.
  2. Implement quickly but be cautious not to expand until you have seen measurable profits being generated.
  3. Build a network of skilled colleagues to ensure you produce world-class products/services with the marketing skills to communicate their benefits.
