What's your business, and who are your customers?

Established in 2016, DocMJ has grown to become Florida’s largest and most experienced group of Certified Medical Marijuana physicians providing cannabis recommendations to qualified patients. We have over 50 doctors and 30 locations serving patients throughout the entire state of Florida. We help patients find relief with medicinal cannabis.

Tell us about yourself

I come from a health care law background in the senior housing industry. I enjoy working in a business every day that makes a difference in our patients' lives. It is a privilege to be part of a team dedicated to growing this new industry and bringing health and wellness to our patients.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

The biggest accomplishment is helping team members grow in their roles as the company expands and being able to bring relief to more patients throughout the country.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The biggest challenge is managing growth and maintaining the small company caring culture of a start-up.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Involve your team and listen - your ideas may not always be the best.
  2. Foster an environment where people feel part of something larger than themselves.
  3. Don’t be afraid to make and admit mistakes.
