What's your organization, and who are your members?
Diya Holistic Life Care is a 501c3 non-profit organization headquartered in Hampton Roads, Virginia, which supports individuals, groups, communities, and organizations in providing support in coaching, mindfulness, advocacy, and inclusion through the lifespan. We aim to service and support organizations as well in any capacity that serves clients to work in a holistic format of health and wellness.
Tell us about yourself
Knowing that this is my family's legacy and contribution to have people lead quality lives of happiness, love, and purpose and helping them to get there by being held and supported and, more than anything, empowered. Knowing that this is my purpose. To provide service in a caring and compassionate way. To be a change that I wish to see in the world is really what motivates me to do what I do day in and day out.
What's your biggest accomplishment as an organization?
Following a vision and continuing to trust the process of where it leads.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being an organization?
Time and scaling-- takes time, effort, and energy to grow. Often a challenge when missing the team environment to grow and build.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow an organization today?
- Lead with kindness and heart.
- Work hard and play hard (follow your labor of love).
- Don't let fear get your ear about growing pains-- keep trekking along.
