What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business provides financial education to the Hispanic community in the USA. All content, social media, course, website, etc., is in Spanish.
Tell us about yourself
Dinero en Spanglish started as a passion project. As my family started our journey toward financial independence, I wanted to share my experience and knowledge with my friends and family. In the process, I realized the lack of information in Spanish and decided to be that person for my community.
Each day I am motivated by my family but also by the community of followers on social media and my students. Getting feedback from them and reading about their transformations keeps me engaged and motivated. Knowing that I am having an impact on thousands of lives is extremely powerful.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Being able to create products and content to help people that I do not even know.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things is balancing life and family with the business and turning the brain off when needed.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Identify your community.
- Do something you love.
- Do not forget to track the numbers: analytics, revenue, expenses, etc.
