What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business is Event Planning. Our customers are couples getting married, private events, and corporate events.

Tell us about yourself

My career started putting on corporate parties, fundraisers & galas for a local Chamber of Commerce. From there, I was the CEO of a non-profit organization that raised money to help people pay their rent and utility bills. Having done so many events, I thought it was time to open my own event company.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Bringing people's visions to life and exceeding their expectations.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Never showing your clients that you're stressed. You always need to be encouraging and confident.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

1. Make sure it's something you have a great passion for.
2. Understand that EVERYTHING is up to you!
3. Master your craft on a daily basis.
