What's your business, and who are your customers?
I'm a business entrepreneur with several companies under one umbrella... DG International, LLC. I'm an international speaker, competitive performance expert, and consultant.
Other businesses: Creator and hosting the live broadcast show Hospitality Today Live, Planspire, and a home watch business. All this while reining as Mrs. Arizona 2020/2021 and Mrs. America 2021/2022, American Queen Organization.
Tell us about yourself
As a marine brat, I've learned how change MAKES you grow. Living around the world, going to different schools, living in other cities, and having different jobs in various industries helped me expand my knowledge and business career. Also, as a competitive swimmer, I'm motivated every day, starting at practice at 5 in the morning. In other words, I start my day by investing in myself first.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
To own and manage several companies, let alone just one company. :)
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The hardest part about being a business owner is failing a company and starting all over. You forget those you want to serve (employees, customers, etc.). Still, the silver lining is that you have a more significant opportunity to bounce back with an even better company.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Believe in yourself, and start!
- My motto is always... get off the block and GO!
- Just get in the water and learn along the way and have fun! :)
