Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in business and personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Stephanie Krubsack, founder and CEO of Purevant Living based in Wisconsin, USA.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
Purevant Living stands for health, wellness, the environment, and giving back. We aim to help companies develop brand identity through digital marketing, copy, creative content, social media management, podcasting, and publications, to promote their product or service.
Our motto focuses on highlighting “all things good” in the world. Through our podcast series, The Woman In Wellness Podcast (https://anchor.fm/womeninwellness) and Things You Should Know podcast (https://anchor.fm/things--you--should--know), we created a platform to share the efforts of these individuals and organizations.
In addition, Purevant Living is in the process of creating publications to bring awareness to wellness, climate change, and the urgency of sustainability efforts while offsetting and reducing carbon emissions. As a company, we commit to donate 2% of every sale. We joined the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council, 1% For The Planet, and Carbonfund.org to show commitment to environmental conservation, to build a structure for giving back.
Tell us about yourself
My creative experience began 15 years ago as an editor-in-chief for a magazine and later building personal websites and content through food and travel blogging at SK Parfait. I soon offered my services to other companies, developing marketing and branding skills to help promote a product or service. Naturally drawn to the wellness and eco realms, I wanted to create a platform to bring awareness to unique products and services that help us live our best lives while keeping the environment in mind.
I created Purevant Living to provide services to businesses and programs that share the same values. I later developed two podcast series as a platform to help bring exposure to these fantastic initiatives that I was discovering through clients, networking, and international travel. After living abroad for extended periods, in both the Czech Republic and Germany, I felt a greater need to connect and share the fantastic wellness and sustainability initiatives between countries, creating international awareness. I’m excited to share upcoming publications with you, have you on as a podcast guest, or work with you to promote your product or service that lives up to our motto of promoting “all things good” globally.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Creating a healthy work-life balance while being able to travel and work remotely.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Making difficult business decisions or changes when a client or project doesn't align with your values.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Build a cushion, then start part-time.
- ALWAYS trust your intuition when making decisions.
- Stay true to your values.
What are some of the things you put in place to maintain a healthy work/life balance?
I focus on the small things first, meaning getting the small to-do tasks done so my mind and space is cleared to move on, and making time for the little things that I enjoy, like making time to shop at a local farmers market, cook a healthy meal, hear some live music, or watch the sunset.
