What's your business, and who are your customers?
Desire Beauty Studios offers lash extensions, body waxing, facials, brow lamination, tint, and more. We service the multifaceted woman who does not have a lot of time for self-care. We get our clients in and out, so they can get back to handling their business.
Tell us about yourself
Being a multifaceted woman myself, I never had time to get pretty or relax. I always wished there was someone I could go to that had top-tier service that would not take 3-5 hours of my day. I loved skin and lashes, so I decided to start a career in the Esthetics field. What motivates me every day is that I know that I am helping a hard-working, strong woman relax after being the rock of her family, business, or social group.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is being able to give back to the esthetics school I attended and demo my lash extensions skills to the new generation of estheticians.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
I would say being in compliance with the IRS. I had no idea there were so many deadlines and things you had to do in order to stay up to date. I am happy I have an accountant that helps me now.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Find your purpose and passion because it’ll never feel like work.
- Be transparent and real with yourself.
- Wake up every day and decide to make your business better.. every day.
