What's your business, and who are your customers?

I provide financial coaching and consulting services to moms primarily looking to become debt free, increase cash flow, build credit, and create financial security in their households.

Tell us about yourself

My first client was my mother; it took me 2 1/2 years to convince my mom of the financial strategies I was learning online for her to implement. Once she committed and started working with me, we were able to pay off all her debt, hit a 700+ credit score, increase her cash flow, start saving money, and dream big again for the first time in many years. Being in a position to help my own mother gave me the confidence to share that message with other moms across the US, and now it been thousands of people I've been able to serve in the area of personal finance.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Finding the right systems to create the lifestyle I want has been my greatest achievement so far. I have a wonderful relationship with family, friends, clients, and my faith, and I still run a 7 figure business without burnout. I feel like I have all the cheat codes and hacks in life to create that "balance" everybody wants, and I am happy to share my journey.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Being intentional about who you are and who you want to be is the most challenging thing when running a business. Life and death are on our tongues, so the way we speak and the words we choose about ourselves and the business can mean success or destruction rather quickly. What I mean by this is, for example, if you want to be like Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, or Bill Gates, you better be absolutely sure about that and the costs to get there. For me, I choose a different path which is I want to be Denzel Napoleon Rodriguez, the best version of me possible. I only know how to be me and no one else. I am building something that has never been done before. I am being who I am destined to be. In business, your words are everything, and how you choose them matters.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

If you are going to start a business today, make creating video content one of your main strategies to have a powerful launch. Schedule time to develop systems in your business that lead to automation. I have been able to grow faster than some of my peers because of the systems and automation I put in place early on, which also creates realistic expectations and results. I like to take the guessing out of sales and marketing and leave it to the numbers. Numbers do not lie, and action is your proof. My final tip is action truly speaks louder than words; if you are a new business owner, choose your words wisely and take more action even if your action leads to mistakes and failures. Better to fail forward than to never take a step forward in your journey and live in regret. "Losers are winners today simply by staying in the game longer than your competition" You could be in last place in your industry like I was when I first started, but by simply staying in the race 2 of my biggest competitors that dominate in my industry in the last year stopped creating content and guess where all new audience went? You got it right; they found me and started watching my material and eventually became clients.
