What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business is Photography/Videography. My customers would be businesses, brands, and people. Airbnb and architect owners are the main focus right now, as well as brands.

Tell us about yourself

I started a clothing brand about six years ago. It almost took off, but I came to a fork in the road. It was either that or photography. My intuition was telling me to go with photography. I know for a fact that I was meant to do this. That’s what motivates me. I’m really good at what I do and go above and beyond. I feel whole. It’s that simple. You know when you find your purpose when people tell you that they picked up a camera because of you. And your work keeps them inspired. I mean, there’s no comparable feeling.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment thus far would be I was featured in Dwell magazine. The mayor of my city has bought a few of my images of the cityscape.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

The hardest thing is getting your footing. It’s finding those people that want to work with you and work with you consistently. Building relationships. It’s tough, especially when you have all the skill and determination in the world but not a big following or much exposure.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Just start. Don’t ever overthink. Don’t give up, or you’ll never get to the end goal. Stay organized and take it seriously. Is it your passion? It’s not a hobby. It is your job at the end of the day. Have fun, but also take it seriously.
