What's your business, and who are your customers?

Columbus Car Credit is a local auto broker specializing in any make and model of vehicles. We help people in all types of credit scenarios, good and bad.

Tell us about yourself

I started selling cars 3 months after I graduated high school in 2001. I went to a job interview, and they hired me. I kept showing up every day, and eventually, I got good at it. I enjoy helping people that have a difficult time buying a car to get around. We help a lot of people get a fresh start coming out of bankruptcy. Our fresh start program is meant to help people re-establish their credit.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

All these lives we have impacted over the years, helping people get reliable transportation for their families. Watching people cry and give our staff hugs, telling us they did not think they would get approved.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Definitely the administration side. I like to deal with customers; I’m grateful to have a front office staff that makes my job easier.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Set a goal.
  2. Make a commitment.
  3. People are your biggest distraction; stay in your own lane.
