What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a breast cancer recovery strategist and help breast cancer survivors overcome the fear, trauma, and suffering of breast cancer to create a life of peace, joy, and fulfillment so they can thrive.
Tell us about yourself
I became a breast cancer recovery coach because, as a 2x breast cancer survivor, I know all too well the trauma and anxiety that is still present when we finish treatment. When we are done with treatment, those individuals who were our support system go back to life as usual, but life doesn't feel normal for the survivor. I want to be the reason women make the most out of their recovery so they can create a life that's better than ever before.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a breast cancer recovery strategist is having a client tell me that she is at peace with the surgical procedure she chose because of the information and strategies that I shared.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things that come with being a business owner is staying disciplined and motivated. You're the boss, so you can't work only when you feel like it. You have to stay committed and be your own best motivator.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
The top 3 tips I would give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business are:
- Trust the process.
- Find a mentor.
- Constantly feed your mind with positive and motivational information to carry you on the hard days.
