What's your business, and who are your customers?

My name is Dave Ferguson, and I am an internationally respected executive coach, speaker, facilitator, and author, in the areas of leadership and personal development. In my signature direct yet highly connective style, I help business owners, executives, top management leaders, and political leaders transform how they communicate, connect, and grow in their leadership roles.

Prior to launching my coaching and speaking business in 2006, I served 25 years in corporate leadership roles in Fortune 500 banking, real estate, and investment companies. In addition, I served in leadership roles in the United States Air Force. During these years, I engaged my no-nonsense leadership approach to challenge, coach, mentor, and develop leaders at all levels.

As a corporate leader turned corporate coach, my experience uniquely qualifies me to not only coach and support leaders and their teams but to truly understand their distinct challenges. I will challenge your team to make intentional choices that leverage their professional development, inspire them to become better leaders, and demonstrate ways they can cultivate and apply their skills. My mission is to equip bosses to become leaders and leaders in creating their legacies.

Tell us about yourself

With decades of business leadership and worldwide executive coaching and speaking experience, I know firsthand the challenges you face. I work with leaders like you every day: driven and hard-working but in need of an objective and experienced coach to talk through ideas or push through obstacles.

Many of my clients have said I have a very direct yet connective style when it comes to coaching and speaking. If you're looking for someone who will tell you what you want to hear, I may not be your best choice for a coach. But if you are looking for someone who will challenge, motivate, and encourage you and your team to push through the obstacles and reach your goals, I am exactly what you need.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I think being a successful coach for almost 15 years is a pretty big accomplishment in the coaching industry.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

I have worked with many business owners, and if I had to pick the biggest struggle for most of them, I'd have to say leadership.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Do the research and work up front, make sure you have sufficient capital and savings, and hire an experienced coach.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Leadership brings unprecedented challenges. Bridging the gap between your team and the goals of your organization requires that you give it everything you have…every single day.
