Fixes Your Emotion - Dana Ritchie

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in mental wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Dana Ritchie, President of DR Emotional Enlightenment S. Ltd., located in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Well Managed Mind System is a technique that stops anger, fear, and guilt within 5 minutes, and it won't come back. I have used it in the past 12 years for anxiety, PTSD, and panic attacks. It reprograms your brain and gets rid of those long-lasting past negative subconscious patterns that make your life and situations stressful and frustrating.

Tell us about yourself

I had PTSD when my son went over a cliff 13 years ago on a ski hill. He is fine now. :) It triggered an instant series of panic attacks I couldn't stop. With my knowledge of psychology (courses I took at University) plus Chinese medicine, neuroscience, and cognitive behaviour, I created a technique combining those elements. What keeps me going are the results people have when they learn the technique and transform their lives. Teachers also use it with children at school to eliminate children's anxiety, and many people use it when they have fears before surgeries. Lots of University students use it for anxiety at school. It helps them get through exams and also overcome the pressure of social anxiety.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I am a best-selling author of Well Managed Mind book. I also published two courses on Amazon audible. Hey Anxiety and Social Anxiety. Our Social anxiety course is also on Udemy, how to transform your social anxiety into confidence in social settings.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

For me, it was to learn how to work from home and not to work every holiday because I felt I didn't get paid. My second challenge was and still is online marketing, and narrowing my niche is definitely the third one because I have a technique I teach, which makes it more complicated in my brain. Lol.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Get your mental health intact. Without it, you cannot move forward.
  2. Learn how to be kind to yourself and if you are hard on yourself, reprogram this pattern to let it go because you will probably become anxious otherwise.
  3. Take baby steps and have a big picture, but small steps are what will eventually get you there.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

I have taught subconscious reprogramming over the years. I am convinced more and more that we need to clear our past patterns relating to anger, fear, and guilt, keep not adding to them in our presence and preprogram our future fears and worries. These three things are definitely a recipe for a wonderful life ahead.
