What's your business, and who are your customers?
Our business is based on two pillars, to educate & advocate with a primary focus on strategy, execution, and wellness in the Advertising/Marketing industry.
Tell us about yourself
I am a seasoned professional with over 20yrs of experience in Advertising/Marketing. I am a Professor at Sheridan College, a certified Life & Wellness Coach, and Speaker. Primarily, my career has focused on brands of all sizes and portfolios. However, my passion lies in the people. People are no good to any organization unless they are good to themselves.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Having a vision, nourishing it to reality, and seeing others flourish in it. For example, in the past year and most recently this year, I have created Hiring The Future, a program geared to supporting new/recent grads and newcomers to find a job. I have also coined and created the I Matter Masterclass Series, focusing on the Personal Development and Well-Being of others.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
There's a lot of noise out there, and you have to break through the clutter with authenticity. Know who to trust, who will support your work but ultimately persevering and remaining true to yourself and the work you put out.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Do what you love because not everyone will love what you do.
- Believe in your products/services/work because that belief will drive you to continue.
- Work smart, not hard, because working hard will create burnout.
