Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Aga Bajer, founder and CEO of CultureBrained®, located in Athens, Attiki, Greece.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
As the founder of CultureBrained®, I have created a one-of-a-kind culture accelerator program and a community for leaders shaping the future of work. It's a place for leaders in growth-stage companies who seek innovative solutions to enhance their company culture. Our members include CEOs, CHROs, CMOs, and other senior leaders. What they have in common is their commitment to making work synonymous with fun, meaning, and belonging so that their business and their employees can thrive. The CultureBrained Accelerator is where our members go to grow as professionals and where they learn how to modernize conventional practices in performance management, talent management, learning and development, and more. We provide our community of leaders with expert and peer-to-peer guidance and support with the ultimate aim of empowering them to cultivate a culture where every employee can do their best work.
Tell us about yourself
I founded CultureBrained to address a gap in the business community, particularly in the face of the unprecedented challenges brought by remote and hybrid work. After workplaces around the globe have experienced the biggest disruption of the past 100 years, Culture Leaders found themselves navigating uncharted territory, often with no help at all. And while there were many communities that were focused on the business side of scaling and success in the post-pandemic world, there was a complete lack of a community that focused on enhancing and scaling company culture in this brave new world of work. What gets me out of bed every morning is the impact we're making at CultureBrained. I am inspired by the stories of our members who are implementing changes that are having a real impact on the people within their organizations. Seeing the positive effects of their efforts is truly gratifying.
I'm also truly inspired by the support our members give each other during challenging times. Our community is built on the belief that we are stronger together, and I am proud to see this in action. Watching our members lift each other up and provide guidance and support is truly inspiring.
I'm hugely motivated by the role we play in helping our members clarify what success looks like for their culture and then realizing that vision faster, with less friction and more confidence. Our accelerator program and community provide the resources and support that Culture Leaders need to achieve their goals and make a lasting impact on their organizations. This is what drives me every day to continue building and growing CultureBrained. I am committed to helping Culture Leaders succeed, and I am grateful to be a part of such a positive and impactful community.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
As a business owner, my biggest accomplishment is undoubtedly putting together our tiny but mighty team. Assembling a group of individuals who share the same values and goals and who work tirelessly to bring our vision to life is truly a remarkable achievement. Knowing that we can do it in a way that offers opportunities to people from underrepresented communities is even more gratifying.
My team is the backbone of our success, and their hard work, creativity, and unwavering commitment are the driving forces behind our growth and impact. I am proud to have them by my side, and I am inspired by their heart, passion, and dedication every day. Having a strong team not only helps us achieve our goals but also provides me with a sense of fulfillment and purpose. Knowing that I have helped build a positive and supportive work environment where my team can thrive and grow is one of my proudest accomplishments.
I am super grateful to my CultureBrainiacs, and I am committed to supporting their growth and development as we continue to build and grow the business. Without them, CultureBrained would not be where it is today, and for that, I am truly thankful.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Being a business owner comes with its own set of challenges and obstacles. One of the hardest things is finding the balance between work and personal life. Running a business can be all-consuming, and it can be easy to get caught up in the day-to-day operations, leaving little time for anything else.
For me, creating space for my personal life, wellness, and self-care has been a struggle. As a passionate entrepreneur, I am constantly thinking about how I can make CultureBrained the best it can be, but it's important to remember that my health and well-being are just as important. It's a delicate balance, but I have learned that it is possible to find that balance with the right mindset and approach. I have made a conscious effort to prioritize my personal life, making sure I take time for myself and my family and engage in activities that bring me joy and peace. I have also prioritized my physical and mental health, making sure I exercise regularly and take breaks when I need them. Creating this space for personal life, wellness, and self-care is a journey, and it requires effort and discipline. But it's worth it. By making time for myself, I am able to be a better leader, a better business owner, and a better person. And that's what it's all about.
