Personal & Professional Growth - CS Thrive

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal and business development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Kirsten Franklin, Founder of CS Thrive, located in New York, NY, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Ever have those moments when you are trying to achieve a goal, and it keeps moving just out of reach, no matter how hard you try to reach it? Maybe you are trying to grow your company, improve your relationships, hit certain targets, etc.

Ever just suffer from overwhelm, stress, or anxiety? Ever have that affected your performance, or fear that it will? Have you ever just felt like an imposter or that maybe other people can do it, but you can't because you don't have the right background, degrees, knowledge, or something else?

CS Thrive uses a combination of techniques rooted in science and psychology to help you get crystal clear and achieve any goal faster and easier than going it alone. My customers are high-level executives, founders/owners of companies, and professional athletes.

Tell us about yourself

I have been there. I went from being a homeless single parent to a successful business owner and entrepreneur. Knowing that anything can change and that you have total control, even when it feels like you have none, inspires me to help others elevate their lives and business. I know everyone can have their dream lives; I help them to see it, believe it, and make it happen.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I don't think there is just one. From building multiple multi-million dollar businesses to simply helping others build their businesses, I think if I had to drill it down to just one, it is the joy and vibes I get from helping others realize their dreams.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Patience, consistency. It is not personal, it is in the numbers. As business owners, we have the vision, it is personal; we want to achieve and do so yesterday. But it takes patience, time, and consistency to get it right to build, grow and scale it. And no matter how we want it, the facts are revealed in the data and the numbers. For example, we might believe we have written the winning copy because we know how effective our product or service is, but when marketing, that copy fails. You try again with the other copy that you hate, and it turns out to be a winner. The proof is in the pudding, but in order to get to the pudding, you have had to be patient and consistent to secure the correct data to analyze then. For many owners, this is not the fun part. The waiting, the testing, the ability to take the time to fail so that you learn what doesn't work so you can move on to what does.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Know your why. Why this business? Why you? Why now?
  2. Do your research.
  3. Create written plans. They don't have to be the final plan, and they don't even have to be correct. But they do have to be written so you can be patient and consistent and track everything you are doing.
