What's your business, and who are your customers?

I'm a Certified Life Coach for parents. I help parents have amazing relationships with their kids through connection-based parenting, emotional skills, and mindset tools. I serve couples and mothers.

Tell us about yourself

I started on this journey through necessity- I had a kiddo that wasn't neurotypical, and I felt challenged in trying to parent him in the conscious and gentle way that I wanted to. Through my journey with him and what changed for us, I realized what was missing in all of the parenting books- it's our OWN healing that helps us parent in a connection-based way, naturally.

I LOVE what I do- helping mothers find themselves, believe in their worth, and tune into their passions- and that through this, it changes our parent/child relationship.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is the changes that have happened in my own family's life- and the lives of my amazing clients. Those changes are priceless.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Balancing home life, homeschooling, motherhood, and business is a continuous challenge- but meditation, thought work, and focus have really helped with this. Also, following my own intuition in my business, instead of the "proven strategies" of some marketing guru or industry leader.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Learn what you don't know. We often tell ourselves, "I don't know how..." or "I don't know the next step." We didn't know how to walk, talk, drive, etc., until we learned how to do so. Allowing ourselves to learn, make mistakes, learn from them, and move on is essential in business.
  2. Think > Feel > Do. Our thoughts create our feelings, and our feelings fuel our actions. Focus less on what to "do" next (hustle, action-taking, pushing through, etc.), and take some time to figure out what you are thinking and feeling about YOU and about your business. Separating your thoughts about YOU and your identity and your thoughts about your business is key. How are these thoughts showing up in your business? What are these thoughts creating for you? That is powerful work.
  3. INTUITION. This is the secret key that is missing in business right now. The "how" of someone that has gone before is not necessarily going to work for you. Marketing strategies and ideas are always changing- but intuition is constant. It will guide you to the path you need to be on- either for learning or to propel your business.
