What's your business, and who are your customers?
Our business is a minority-owned bakery. Crumble & Whisk thrives on building relationships with customers and acquiring a social responsibility in the community we serve.
Tell us about yourself
My father inspired me to develop an interest in the food business. I excelled at my craft by completing a culinary program at Job Corps and a business program at La Cocina, which have been pivotal components to my establishing this milestone. My drive to stay motivated with running Crumble & Whisk has been sustained through my empowering relationships with team members, customers, and the community.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is having continuous support from customers and employees. Also, I have acquired my own storefront, which displays the growth of my business.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
For me, the most difficult component is the non-stop work ethic needed to maintain a business.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Be creative with making employees happy.
- Save money and build your credit.
- Be sure to be involved with your community and other local business.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
My company has invested in giving back to the community and inspiring other people to be business owners.
