What's your business, and who are your customers?
I'm the Founder and CEO - Chief Empowerment Officer of CreateWriteNow.com, who teaches curious health-conscious action-takers how to use Journaling For The Health Of It®️ to heal their mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual issues in their tissues. I mentor my clients in using this powerful personal transformation tool to explore, empower, and express their true selves. My services include 20+ Journaling Self-Therapy Courses like Who Am I?, Change Tour Life in 15 Days, and Whole Health Journaling Challenge, as well as customized 1:1 Journaling Personal Power Sessions.
Tell us about yourself
I got into journaling when I needed a physical therapy tool to teach myself how to write with my left hand. I soon discovered that daily, pen-to-page journaling was emotional, mental, and spiritual therapy, and I decided to set up CreateWriteNow and share Journaling For The Health Of It® with the world.
What keeps me motivated? Emails like this email I recently received:

Do you have daily rituals for work / wellness / fitness / mindfulness?
Each day, my routine begins with meditation, currently exploring "Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself" by Dr. Joe Dispenza, a choice that evolves annually. Last year, I was dedicated to Fleet Maull's NeuroSomatic mindfulness program. Post-meditation, I partake in a cherished journaling ritual known as Journaling For The Health Of It®️, where I draft a Today List to focus on self-care priorities such as breath work, taking moments to pause, enhancing my listening skills, and fostering a mindset geared towards responding thoughtfully rather than reacting impulsively. Integral to my routine is the practice of eating only clean, unprocessed foods, tuning into my hunger cues, and ensuring that mealtime is a distraction-free zone dedicated to bodily nourishment.
In addition to these practices, I incorporate vocal warmups and singing into my regimen of personal growth activities.
For my meditation guidance, I lean on Dr. Joe Dispenza's "Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself" available via Audible, and for journaling inspiration, I utilize resources from CreateWriteNow.com, which offers an extensive collection of over 400 writing prompts, a treasure trove of blog posts spanning 13 years, in excess of 20 workbooks, and a variety of videos.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Authoring the first three multi-award-winning Journaling Power Revolution Series books: Journaling Power: How To Create The Happy, Healthy Life You Want To Live, Heal Your Self With Journaling Power and Mindset Medicine: A Journaling Power Self-Love Book.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Learning how to take time to rest, rejuvenate and refocus Myself. Self-Care is a skill I work on every day with my journal.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Keep a daily, pen to paper Journaling For The Health Of It® Self-Love Practice.
- Identify your ideal customer and target audience and stay focused on serving their needs only and always.
- Eat a healthy (fresh, clean, unprocessed food) diet only when your body feels hungry.
- Practice the Pause. When your body tells you it is stressed and your overly analytical head is running wild, take a moment, close your eyes, belly breathe, and smile.
