Detoxify, Regenerate and Heal - Corry Lang

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Corry Lang, a certified regenerative detoxification specialist, and iridologist, based in Encinitas, CA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I'm a certified regenerative detoxification specialist and iridologist. I help women with chronic health issues to determine the underlying root causes of their seemingly "incurable" diseases (like autoimmune disease, lupus, fibromyalgia, thyroid disease) and guide them to heal themselves so they can start living again without pain, fatigue, and pharmaceuticals.

Tell us about yourself

I myself had debilitating lupus, fibromyalgia, and Hashimoto's symptoms. I healed myself with regenerative detoxification, got certified in it, and am now helping others to heal themselves as well. My background is in biology and biological sciences. I worked in scientific research labs for 12 years and left the industry to help prevent disease. I believe that our medical system doesn't work and needs to be transformed away from pharmaceuticals - which don't heal anything but instead add on to the underlying problems of toxicity and acidosis - and toward (back to) natural healing modalities.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

The way my clients have turned their health around. My clients' success stories.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Working tirelessly and as much as needed, even when everyone else goes to the beach, managing time efficiently and scheduling off-time as well. Finding balance.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Hire experts, mentors, and coaches early on. Sure, you can figure it out all by yourself, but it'll take you much longer. I wish I had invested in my business like this sooner.
  2. Get in touch with people. Don't hide behind social media. Talk to people, tell them what you do. Pick up the phone. Everyone craves real connections.
  3. Don't burn yourself out. Schedule off-time (no electronics!) too.
