Corporate Chics Enterprises - Necole Gibbs
Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in business services but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Necole Gibbs, CEO of Corporate Chics Enterprises, located in Atlanta, GA, USA.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
Corporate Chics Enterprises, LLC is a consulting and digital marketing company that will 'Teach You," "Show You," or Do It for You." We help businesses scale with online marketing techniques and copywriting. Many businesses just don't have the "know-how" when it comes to their back office. Many business owners cannot write a complete sentence if their life depended on it. Many new entrepreneurs just need assistance in the form of a consultant or project manager. My business solves the needs of those entrepreneurs who are more technical than creative. My business solves the needs of those businesses who "want to but just can't" because they don't know how or where to start.
My customers are those who just decided to start a business and need guidance. My customers are entrepreneurs, businesses, and brands who may not have access to technology or advances in technology. They are behind the learning curve when it comes to the variety of trends (i.e., digital marketing) to scale and grow their business. My customers are behind the eight ball when it comes to their processes and need a more efficient way of doing business. Uniquely, my company meets their needs by becoming that resource. As strategic thinkers, problem-solvers, and copywriters, we bring exposure and opportunities to promote, market, sell, and expand other businesses. We create words that sell. We help businesses understand that relationships are important because making sales is the ultimate goal of any business.
Tell us about yourself
Growing up in a household where my dad operated his business for over 30 years, I saw firsthand how to earn a living through entrepreneurship. But I initially didn't go that route. Attending college, obtaining all these degrees, and becoming married were the American dream. By the age of 25, my ex-husband and I purchased a condo in Atlanta, GA, and at that time in my life, I truly thought, "I made it." After working in Corporate America for about five years, I was six weeks pregnant with my second son and wrongfully terminated by a company that later had to compensate me with back pay and four years of unemployment.
Never wanting to be in that position again, I turned to my skill set and experience and decided to start a business consulting company. All of this came by default. Had I not been fired, I would probably not be writing this story. With no business system or process in place, I started Corporate Chics Enterprises, LLC. Everyone from Charleston, SC, where I grew up, heard that I authored a book and started a business and wanted to work with me. Organized chaos is what I will say helped me initially, but after a failed marriage, I was back in the workforce. My business fell by the wayside, and I was just trying to survive.
In 2018, the opportunity of entrepreneurship presented itself again. But this time, I was a little more prepared. This was a huge risk because it threatened the security of my livelihood yet again. I was prepared for this risk because I was paid a pretty substantial amount to help develop and operate a new business in the Atlanta area. The freedom entrepreneurship gave me was exactly what I needed to be creative and work in spaces where my work was appreciated and compensated well. After attending a THRIVE conference in late 2021, I created processes and systems that could better help me with sales and VIOLA! The rest is history.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
When individuals trust me enough to hire me, as far as business services, it is what makes me proud. Being able to help individuals communicate their message in a persuasive way and watch their business sales increase is also what makes me proud. I would say my biggest accomplishment was landing a one-on-one coaching session with Super Music Manager Cortez Bryant. For an hour, he allowed me to pick his brain and ask any question I wanted. He provided some amazing tips and resources, and I am grateful I had that opportunity.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Trusting the process. Success doesn't happen overnight, and failure is a part of learning what to do versus what not to do. Building tenacity and adding consistency is the best way to overcome the challenges that will come with being a business owner.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Research your industry so you can be competitive once you do decide to start.
- Figure out a niche that you fit in, who your ideal target market or customer is, and where they are so you can reach them effortlessly.
- Create a system and or process that will automate your business so that your business is making money while you sleep.
