What's your business, and who are your customers?
"Cooking With Carmen focus is "Bringing Families Back Together One Meal at A Time" to the dinner table so we all can share the beauty and fellowship of each other. We teach people how to cook from scratch and how to identify the need for a meal. We serve families that depend on us weekly not only for our teachings but every Thursday; we deliver passion-filled chef-prepared meals to homes throughout the community. We want to build a sense of community and family with our customers while committing to providing the healthiest foods through Culinary Art Instruction. At Cooking With Carmen, we believe "Food is Passion, Passion is Art"!"
Tell us about yourself
I'm a skilled artistic cook with a passion for baking and creating both presentational exquisite and delicious meals. As a young girl, I have raised to value the qualities of a thoughtful meal. My personal philosophy, "food brings people together," began to form as I enjoyed watching my family connect, relax, and fellowship over the early efforts of my grandmothers.
My passion for food is the driving inspiration behind my creative approach to food making. I understand cooking to be both an art and science requiring a lot of love, time, attention, and dedication to improvement.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
For me, I would say my biggest accomplishment has been to see my dream manifest! I took the biggest jump with no safety net and never looked back.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The hardest thing is to accept that you simply cannot do it all. Although the demand and the responsibilities are great, get someone on your team that can help build what you think!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Whatever you're passionate about, make sure there's a need and market for what you do. Be specific with your goals and be consistent and NEVER become comfortable!
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
I'd rather live with the setbacks of pursuing my dreams than life with the "What Ifs"!
