Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Dr. Michelle and Dr. Cameron Moore, Owners of Continuous Motion Physical Therapy, located in Goodyear, AZ, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Continuous Motion Physical Therapy is a sports performance practice located in Goodyear, AZ. We specialize in working 1:1 with active, motivated individuals with a niche of Crossfitters, Weight Lifters, and Triathletes. We aim to get to the source of our client's pain through our evidence-based differential diagnosis evaluation and sport-specific movement screens. We then use a manual therapy approach of dry needling, spinal manipulation, myofascial cupping, and/or soft tissue work to reduce our client's symptoms and corrective/accessory exercises to guide our clients to meet their goals.

We are athletes ourselves, currently training in Crossfit/Olympic Weightlifting, and have previous backgrounds in gymnastics, track and field, motocross, and distance running. We understand what it takes to train at a high level and have the tools to keep our clients training through injury and improve their performance.

Tell us about yourself

We created Continuous Motion Physical Therapy to offer a place that not only works with injured athletes by identifying the root cause of their symptoms but also works to solve the underlying issues to ensure their pain doesn't come back. Our work isn't done when the pain is gone as we then work to bridge our clients back into their sport and optimize the way they move and feel for top-level performance.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

We are proud to offer top-of-the-line care to athletes of the West Valley Community.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

You will work 10x harder working for yourself, however, the hard work is always worth it!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Surround yourself with mentors who are at or heading in the direction you want to go that can help guide and coach you along the way. (Even professional athletes have a coach)
  2. Create a business and product that solves a problem and improves on the shortcomings of what is currently available to your client.
  3. Love what you do, and you'll never 'work' a day in your life!
