What's your business, and who are your customers?
I'm Taneia, the founder, owner, and writer of Content By Taneia, LLC. I provide writing services to health publications and small business owners, like blogs and social media posts.
Tell us about yourself
I started professionally writing back in the summer of 2020. I've always had an interest in writing, but after obtaining my bachelor's degree in public health in 2020, I decided to pursue it as a side hustle. Since then, my business has grown into a full-time career. What motivates me to continue writing is the freedom from a typical 9-to-5. I can work when I want, take days off, and decide which clients I want to work with.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Getting published in big-name publications like Healthline and Insider.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Time management is a major challenge for me. I'm slowly working on becoming a more organized business owner by using project management tools and setting boundaries.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Find a niche that you have a passion for.
- Get an LLC to make yourself stand out from other businesses.
- Network as much as possible.
