Leveling the Playing Field - Consigliere
Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Arezou Kohan, Owner of Consigliere, located in New York, NY, USA.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
Through my online coaching program, Elevate-Her, I offer intuitive counseling, mindset coaching, and business strategy for spiritually awake female entrepreneurs, coaches, healers, and professionals. I show them exactly how to secure their financial future without sacrificing their relationships, lifestyle, or their mental and physical health for it.
Tell us about yourself
I was always observant and intuitive as a kid. It took me a while to realize that I was actually blessed with the gifts of clairvoyance and clairaudience. Prior to transitioning into coaching, I was a lawyer, mediator, and judge pro tem (temporary judge) in Los Angeles. I also have a business degree. I meld my background with my sense of justice and equality to help women rise faster.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Seeing my clients get unstuck, have massive aha's and shifts, and see them grow and evolve is a big thrill.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Surrendering the John Wayne patriarchal macho attitude that you've got to figure it all out alone, and you've got to do it all on your own—in other words, asking for help.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Don't wing it. Don't even think about starting a business until you've worked with a proper business coach to discover your core values and unique genius and build a solid foundation for success.
- Don't wait too long before you reach out and get guidance when you're stuck. There is usually a block or limiting belief that must be looked at and cleared immediately. Otherwise, you could be stuck for years, and that's going to be a very costly mistake.
- Treat your business like a business. That means thinking and acting like a CEO and surrounding yourself with a board of advisors you can turn to for guidance, support, and accountability.
