What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a professional speaker that works with sales organizations to improve their sales performance. Most of my work is a sales training and coaching for large sales organizations.
Tell us about yourself
I started my business in 2004. I started delivering training to sales teams within the first six months. I developed my training sessions based on my sales and sales training experience at Digital Equipment Corporation.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I developed my personality tool that helps salespeople understand how their clients buy based on their personality styles. I have written seven books and have been the president of the National Speakers Association of North Texas 3 times. I love giving back to the community.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
There are so many things to do when running your own business. We need to determine where my time is best spent and what I should outsource in my business.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Be realistic! It takes more time and money than you would expect.
- Be patient.
- Be open to what others are doing and listen to sage advice from those you respect.
