What's your business, and who are your customers?
Coastal Movement Specialists outpatient Physical and Occupational Therapy clinic with an attached Pilates studio. We work with clients with orthopedic, neurologic, and vestibular impairments. Our mission is to provide one-on-one care to allow our clients to live a more active, healthy, and pain-free life.
Tell us about yourself
We started our business because we felt that were was a lack of quality services for PT, OT, and Pilates in our area. We are motivated daily by our clients; it is so rewarding to see them come in week after week and see the improvement in their pain, mobility, and overall quality of life.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Our biggest accomplishment would be navigating how to start and run a business during the middle of a pandemic.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things about being a business owner is that you never really have a day off. However, when you are doing something you love, it makes it all worth it.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- If you are thinking about starting your own business, DO IT! It will be hard at first, but it is worth every bit of stress along the way.
- Don't be afraid to ask for help from others in your industry.
- Mistakes happen, learn from them and grow.
