What's your business, and who are your customers?

A craft kombucha brewery that is servicing a diverse group of retailers, on and off-premise, food service, health, and wellness spaces, as well as offices and communal workspaces.

Tell us about yourself

I have always been a creative and passionate person with an affinity toward entrepreneurship for as long as I can remember. I grew up in my parent's restaurant, and my creative spirit had me going above and beyond the basic lemonade stand as a kid. I also grew up on the beach and lived an active lifestyle as a swimmer and lifeguard. Over the course of my studies in art, health, and food, I developed one core belief that I live by "Food should be equally as enjoyable as it is healthy and wholesome." When I came across kombucha, I saw an opportunity for creativity and reinterpretation to brew a truly enjoyable Kombucha. I view every meal or beverage as a learning experience and collect knowledge through tasting and understanding flavor. I decided to take that knowledge and understanding and apply that to the creative experience of producing a kombucha. I am driven and inspired every day by the ability to brew a beverage that brings people joy, connects them, and creates a memorable experience through a beverage that simultaneously brings them good health. The intrinsic rewards are endless in tying health and joy together!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Gaining 100% ownership of my business, learning every role inside and out, and executing a full rebrand all at the same time!

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Always being in work mode. Learning to find work-life balance is truly an art form.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Seek out successful professionals in your field and ask them as many questions as you can.
  2. Find mentors that understand your goals and can hold you accountable.
  3. Practice and believe in your own resilience. You will for sure get knocked down, but you'll also get back up again, and each time you do so, you'll be stronger and wiser.
