Coaching men to be on top of their game - Jeff Siegel Wellness
Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in coaching, but not sure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Jeff Siegel
What's your business and who are your customers?
I help men who are feeling "off their game" reclaim their health, confidence, and personal power.
Tell us about yourself
After overcoming an eating disorder, I become a health junkie, inspired to learn everything I could about fitness, nutrition, and wellness. For years, I relentlessly pursued self-improvement and nearly burned myself out from overwork.
The lessons I've gained from overcoming my bad habits now help me help others find a sustainable path to self-care and lasting health.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Being there for clients when life seems like it is collapsing and helping them go through the mud and come out better men on the other side.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
There are endless balls in the air waiting to be dropped. You need to be an employee, a CEO, a critic all at the same time. It's a lot to manage.
What are the top 3 tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
1. Patience: everything takes longer than you think.
2. Team-up: even as a solopreneur you will want a good coach on your side.
3. Follow the Excitement: lean into the most energizing parts of your work. It's why you chose this path in the first place.
If there was one thing you could do repeatedly to help grow your business, what would it be?
Teach and share every single day. Then broadcast it freely to as many people as possible. Invite them to join you to learn more.
What are some of the things you put in place to maintain a healthy work/life balance?
Clear boundaries around when work begins/ends and where work "lives" so it doesn't bleed into every part of my day.
Decide on your non-negotiable "rocks" and put those in your calendar before anything else. Exercise, meditation, family time, etc. are a part of every single day.
Who are some of your favorite entrepreneurs and why?
Paul Chek built a business empire with world-class resources for holistic health coaching. The Chek Institute is a great place for education and resources.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
We are all works in progress and we need each other to progress. Life is about the people you meet and the things you create with them. Grow, together.
