What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a solo Esthetician that specializes in acne and aging facial services. This May, I am expanding, growing my team, and opening a storefront because I want to get more gorgeous clients through the door! I closed my books about a year ago, so this has been a long time coming.
Tell us about yourself
I’ve always had a passion for skincare and beauty. I knew this was my path from the age of 17! I started Clover Skin in August 2020 with high hopes and low expectations. I saw the potential soon after opening.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is client retention. I care about all my clients, and it’s very rewarding to see them rebooking months in advance.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Work genuinely never stops. I wake up thinking about Clover Skin, falling asleep thinking about it, then dreaming about it, lol.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Never stop investing in your business. If you want to be the best, you need to have the best equipment, products, and materials.
- This goes along with the first, but you truly have to spend money to make money! Pay your business and watch it grow.
- Be your genuine self and let people resonate with that. People are attracted to warm, inviting, caring people.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
I owe so much of my success to the support and outpouring of love from my husband, parents, and clientele. Being a business owner has given me so much confidence and self-worth. For that, I am truly thankful!
