Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Cindy Crowe, an Identity and Purpose Coach, based in Neebing, ON, Canada.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Greetings from Neebing, Ontario, Canada. I am Cindy Crowe, Standing Strong of the Ojibwe Tribe, an Identity and Purpose Coach. I am living my dreams and would love to show you how to live yours. I will guide and inspire you to discover who you are and your life purpose. To schedule a free consultation, visit my website. I look forward to coaching you to "Spiritual freedom!"

As an Identity and Purpose Coach, I am passionate about empowering and inspiring my clients to discover who they truly are and identify their life purpose. I provide one-on-one coaching as well as group coaching, and I also provide webinars.

I have a variety of clients from varying backgrounds and experiences. All of my clients are interested in Spirituality, understanding their true authentic selves, and growing and evolving as Spirits having a human experience.

Tell us about yourself

My start wasn't provided to me on a platter. Much like all the listeners today, if we are very fortunate, we get to figure it out in this lifetime. My start was provided to me when I received my first Spiritual name and clan in 2003. Then shortly after that, I had an emotional breakdown and was hospitalized in early 2004. I share this experience in Chapter 4 of my published book: 'Walking with Grey Wolf,' which honours the vision I received in 2006. This breakdown was the best thing that ever happened to me! That was the beginning of me listening to myself. Truly listening. I created and manifested my start. I started to hear/see/feel/sense the Spiritual messages that we all receive every day.

Now I was tuning in, acknowledging the messages, respecting them, honouring them, and my life began to shift and change. I started to have balance in my life, and the energies that no longer served me, like mental illness, started to drift away. The secret is to focus on your passions, the rest sorts itself out. Now my passions include being the Lodgekeeper for an Indigenous-led charity called Blue Sky Community Healing Centre, being an Anishinaabe Interpretative Guide for my tourism business, being a life coach, and providing education to the non-Indigenous population to encourage meaningful relationships with Indigenous folk.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I think the biggest accomplishment as an entrepreneur, and in my case, a serial entrepreneur, is the ability to have control over my schedule while adhering to my personal values. Being able to seek out more education/training if I desire, i.e., learning more about plants, working with people that have similar values, working with clients that have similar values, and being in control of my own destiny.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Definitely, in the beginning, it was the feast or famine experiences. I manage those experiences a little better now. There's a surrender practice that I have been following - surrendering the process and surrendering the outcome, which helps me in many areas of my life, including being an entrepreneur.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Listen to yourself! Your heart and your Spirit. Know what is important to you and what you are looking to accomplish in this lifetime. Be true to yourself! Do not compromise yourself. Be cautious with your thoughts/words/actions, as that is what is manifested in your experience.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Explore the four pillars of my coaching services, illustrated in the medicine wheel model that guides me:

  1. Ceremony - confirming your commitment to Spirit;
  2. Guides - who are your Spirit Animal Guides? What is your Clan?
  3. Identity - exploring your gifts. Who are you?
  4. Purpose - how are you honouring your gifts? Why did you come to the earth at this time?
