What's your business, and who are your customers?

I offer 1-1 Coaching, Workshops, and Group programs for busy moms. My coaching services and workshops help new and seasoned parents who are juggling work and raising a family. At their core, all parents want to be the best versions of themselves. I help them prioritize their well-being so they can thrive. My clients are motivated, ambitious, and overwhelmed with the various hats they wear in life and their career.

Tell us about yourself

My story began during my furlough when I just began writing, but I had no idea that later on, a business would be born out of it. I explored where I was going to pivot. I built my business while expecting my third child in February 2022, and it has been the culmination of being in the messy middle of life and career; now, I have the honor to help others that are in the same position I was in.

It began with me, and I'm a link to every working mom, and this is also deeply personal because I want something different for my daughters. I want them to thrive without feeling like grinding, overwork, stress, and overwhelm have to be the way to raise children and find career fulfillment. My life's work right now is witnessing how this plays out in real time for so many women and how we can find a new way forward. I'm passionate about women taking a bigger priority in their own well-being so they can find a formula that works for themselves and their families. Today's modern-day working parent does not resemble the same mom from thirty years ago. The work, the stress, the overwhelm, the childcare costs, the expectations, the parental leave, and the work week all have profound effects on why I believe today's working mom is a ragged, rung-out, and burned-out mom to no fault of her own. There is no one-size-fits-all formula. It; however that format works for the individual. It could be through staying at one's role, a pivot, or a new business. That's where I feel the biggest challenge is for working moms; they lack the support to find the balance and support they need so they can thrive.

The truth is when mom is thriving, the rest of the world is. Parents with young kids are very busy, but we are as busy as we make our schedules. I'm proud that I've taken this step to intentionally craft my year with more ease, well-being, and gratitude. I'm truly serving and connecting these threads because I care about the future well-being of working moms.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Small habits and mindset work to create big change. When I witness my clients going from torn, unhappy, and dimmed light to feeling empowered, motivated, and owning their authenticity, that is the best version of them. That is the person that needs to be found again.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The unknown. It's a risk to take the leap out of the societal comforts of a regular job or position. I knew deeply that many felt similar to what I was experiencing, but the coaching world is a new one. Many are familiar with therapy. I knew this was my next step. I knew it was bigger than me, and it was needed in this pandemic.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Trust your process. Gather support, coaching, and resources to guide your steps. It's a long game. Develop a plan so that you don't burn out, and if you need to pivot or shift, you can be nimble as well.
