What's your business, and who are your customers?

CH Design takes your ideas and turns them into reality! I design logos and graphics along with photography and photo editing. My customers are anyone looking to stand out from the crowd and inspire their clients.

Tell us about yourself

I have always had a passion, love, and curiosity for design. I took the plunge later in life to pursue this creativity and go back to college to obtain my diploma. It was one of the hardest, yet most rewarding experiences of my life. I was awarded The President’s List, which is one of the highest awards given at my college in Graphic Design. I love what I do, and the reward is seeing my clients light up and love what I have created for them.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

This is an extremely competitive market! If I had let fear get to me, I would never have begun this journey. You have to suppress that fear and do what makes you happy! Not giving up on my dreams to start my own business would be my biggest accomplishment!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Everyone wants immediate success. You will look at others in your industry that are extremely successful and wonder why you don’t see that success. It’s not that you’re doing something wrong, as it will take time to grow. Just remember that there are people out there looking at you, wondering how you are doing such an incredible job, even when you think otherwise.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

First and foremost, have fun with what you do! The minute you’re not having fun, and it feels like work, it may not be the right path. Second, be prepared to fail. It’s a part of life and the learning process. Nothing will happen overnight. You will have to fight and struggle at times to see the results you want, but it will happen. Lastly, step out of your comfort zone; you will surprise yourself with the potential you have within!

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

The journey takes time. Have fun with what you do. Don’t be afraid to take risks. We’ve all been told that practice makes perfect growing up. I don’t believe that. Practice makes improvements. We should all strive to practice and improve over time. The more we keep improving, the better we become.
