What's your business, and who are your customers?

Cerutti Charcuterie creates elegant charcuterie boards and grazing tables for the special celebrations in women's lives. I started in 2021 making all sizes of boards, but over time learned that I love designing grazing tables the most. My focus for 2022 is to do more grazing tables for larger events. My mission is to create eye-popping, decadent, and beautiful grazing experiences for those special celebrations to remember, from birthday parties to bridal and baby showers and weddings.

Tell us about yourself

The idea was sparked at the end of 2020 when I created a beautiful board for a dear friend's going away party, and it was such a hit that people started requesting my creations. From that point on, I just kept going and evolved into creating a business model for myself that was fun and rewarding. My favorite part about this business is seeing people's reactions and knowing that I am contributing to people's very special moments in their lives.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment with this business has been its organic growth and evolution, all by social media and word of mouth. The support that I have received from family, friends, and my client base has been the key to the growing success of this business.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The hardest thing so far has been growing and finding my niche while still working a full-time day job. Finding the balance to make it all work while still having fun and making time for my personal life and health has been a continual learning process. I'm thankful to say I have also found incredible joy and empowerment in adding this business to my life!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Find something you love to do, and do that!
Give it your all, but also figure out how to keep the fun and joy in it along the way.
There will always be hard days, but the reward of growing a successful business is always worth it in the end.
