What's your business, and who are your customers?
Celebration Title Group - we are redesigning the closing experience. Our clients are homebuyers, sellers, real estate agents, and mortgage professionals.
Tell us about yourself
I started working for a real estate lawyer and found my calling in the title. I always knew there was a missing piece to the closing experience in the way the real estate transaction is currently done, so I went ahead and changed it myself! I have three motivations for what I do; my two sons are the heart of my why, my celebration family keeps me pushing hard, and finally, our clients, the look on their faces when they pop the confetti cannon and feel celebrated at the end of the home buying process keeps me grounded and reminds me of the reason I started.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
We ranked #4 Best Places to Work for a mid-sized company, and this is the second year in a row we have won this honor. This is my greatest accomplishment because not only did I set out to redesign the closing experience, but I also wanted to redesign the working experience. I don't believe you should work at a company that doesn't love you back, and this award is proof that my team experiences the confetti culture I wanted to create.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The hardest part of running a business is learning how to shift in a changing market and continue to grow through any struggles you might be facing.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Focus on your culture; if you take care of your employees, they will take care of the rest.
- Build a team you trust.. they are your chosen family; treat them like it.
- Learn how to work on your business and in your business and figure out what is needed at that moment.
