Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in photography but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Chase Rossman, Owner of CDRVISUALS, located in West Palm Beach, FL, USA.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
I’m a commercial fitness and dance photographer that helps my clients take their visuals to the next level. If you have a fitness business or trying to land a lead role, I help create clean commercial images that make big impacts in your personal life.
Tell us about yourself
I wanted to see something different in the industry of fitness. Fewer gym shots - these are people as well, besides being in the gym all day, and I combined that with clean commercial images and spaces to showcase the human form in different areas. What motivates me is the feeling of empowerment my clients have after having photo sessions and the images in my mind that never seem to come out just right.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is seeing my client use their images to land their dream jobs.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
For me, it’s actually sales - like for most; you have to make that part of the equation from start to finish sales and be confident in the sale. Creatively you battle the day in and day out. Are you doing SOMETHING different enough to have it stand out?
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Make sure to keep at it - find a niche - believe in a purpose, not the money.
