What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are a small, family-owned business specializing in hand-poured resin, laser cut, and engraved decor and accessories. Our customers come from all walks, ages, and stages of life. There are those who are just starting out on their own and need that one piece of décor that's a conversation starter, and there are also those who are scaling back on items of their own but choosing to purchase a gift for a loved one that may be more of a Memorial piece.
Tell us about yourself
We've always had an interest in starting a business of our own. With family ties to the Caribbean, we wanted to honor our ancestors, which is where our name came from. Each Carib Creation piece reflects the beauty, uniqueness, and resilience of the Caribbean Islands, which hold much of our heritage.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Our biggest accomplishment so far is the look we're able to put on our customers' faces when we share our art with them, especially the custom pieces.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
There is not enough time (or enough of us) to create all of the pieces we would like to share.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Be Passionate about what you do: You may or may not love what your business is about, but you do need to be fired up about it.
- Take each day 1 step at a time: There are not enough hours in the day to create and complete all that's within you.
- Be patient: Success will come when it's supposed to.
