What's your business, and who are your customers?

Tell us about yourself

I spent a long time trying to figure out what I wanted to do and spent a lot of time and resources to do that- different career paths, education, coaches, time, money, and big failures. When I finally figured it out, it was an incredible feeling. I was able to scale my career quickly because of that experience and my aligned career. Being in HR, I realized just how many people have the same struggle to the point where it's accepted as the norm. I realized it didn't have to be that way, that I was on to something, and that I could help a lot of people.

When I look back at my own journey, I think about the people in my life who helped me overcome my challenges to get where I am today- the positive difference they made that changed my life. Being that person for someone else, even just one person is everything. It's the cherry on top that I get to do it this way, that we're really good at it and love what we do.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

We're still a young business, and we have a lot of exciting plans for the future, but at the end of the day, I think I'll always say, my clients -  watching them evolve and win is the best feeling.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

The juggle! Being a mom, wife, business owner, coach, doing renovations, moving countries... it's a full plate of life, and it's not easy, but I wouldn't have it any other way. The world is a busy place, and it's easy to get caught up and swept away. Learning to allow myself grace, to not be so hard on myself- because often we are our own biggest critic- has been a huge personal development for me as a person- an ongoing one. It's great to have hustle, but it's equally as important to fill your cup and rest! In fact, your hustle will, counterintuitively, be a lot stronger if you spend more time on the latter!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Just do it. Get started today, right now, and you will be infinitely grateful and a lot wiser than if you wait until you're "ready" because that feeling is never going to come. You need to jump and have faith that you have the skills and ability to figure out how to fly. Trust yourself and be patient- never, ever give up, and you will get there.
  2. Do not let the fear of striking out stop you from playing the game because the time is going to pass anyways.
  3. Being a successful entrepreneur is hard, but so is staying where you are. Choose your hard.
