What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a relationship counselor. My customers are those seeking pre-marriage counseling, relationship counseling, or marriage counseling. Most clients are dedicated, high-functioning, regular people who just need help with their relationships.

I love the opportunity to help improve the lives of others. Working with couples creates a challenging and interesting dynamic. There is rarely a dull moment.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Being named the "Best Relationship Counselor" in Dublin, Ohio, in 2022 by the Dublin Awards Program.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Knowing when to stop working because the work is never done.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

1. Take a class (even if you have a business degree or MBA).
2. Hire a coach.
3. Have a clear idea of your ideal customer, a marketing plan, and a business plan.
