What's your business, and who are your customers?
Candle Bar DSM is a pour your own custom candle bar! We have 90+ fragrances to choose from that can be blended to make the perfect custom fragrance. Our candles are all 100% soy!
Tell us about yourself
I wanted to bring a new, fun, and social experience to the Des Moines area that was also a usable product. We all love candles, but unfortunately, not all of them are great for us or the environment! Educating every guest on the products we use and why we select them motivates me to continue to evolve the business to provide the best product.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Opening during a global pandemic!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Moving the needle. It can become very easy to become stagnate and just get by.
