What's your business, and who are your customers?
Cadre is a multi-brand retailer driven by sustainability and purpose. We hold brands to a higher standard, vetting all products for transparency, fair labor, and waste reduction. Our customers are conscious consumers who are mindful of the planet.
Tell us about yourself
I am a Finch lawyer whose personal waste reduction journey led me to sustainable fashion. I saw the lack of regulations, transparency, and confusion in sustainable fashion and set out to create a store consumers could trust and that provides easy access to luxe eco-friendly clothes.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Making a difference and bringing awareness to the environmental impact of the fashion industry.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Being a start-up founder creating a work-life balance is the most difficult piece.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Come with a curious mind, as you will learn many new skills. Understand that mistakes will happen as we are human, and no one is born knowing everything; however, take the time to learn from them and grow as they are there to show you something. Ask questions - from people who have the experience to help you learn to grow your business, and remember there is no harm in asking people who are kind and helpful.
