What's your business, and who are your customers?

I have a practice in Mental Health. Our clients are adults, teens, and couples who are struggling with mental health challenges.

Tell us about yourself

My biggest passion is to help those in need. I have been practicing for 22 years, some of which are in Dubai and the Cayman Islands. I have loved every minute of working with diverse populations in supporting them in their mental health journeys. I grew up in Dubai, then moved to the Cayman Islands after marriage, and finally landed in Miami with my family. I wake up feeling blessed that I have patients who trust me with their challenges.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Having a great team! I have managed to attract a group of passionate individuals who share my vision of making a difference by helping those who need it.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

I think it is the same as my accomplishment. Finding good employees who work with a level of integrity is probably one of the hardest things.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Be a compassionate leader. Compassion is one of the traits that make for a truly great owner.
  2. Focus on the quality of your service. I have built and grown my practice in a place where no one knew me because of the care I have shown towards every patient who seeks my help.
  3. Don't try to do everything yourself. Focus on what you do best and hire people to assist with the other tasks.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

I would say your intent will drive your earnings. Do whatever you do with passion and pure intent, and you will see your business grow.
