What's your business, and who are your customers?
I sell business education resources and business education project lesson plan files to high school business education teachers.
Tell us about yourself
I have been a high school business teacher for over 25 years. I started creating my own resources because business education textbooks are not engaging for my students and are often outdated. I find motivation in creating resources to make the business class relevant, real-world, and rigorous!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest achievement as a business owner is that when my resources are sold in over 40 countries and used by hundreds of thousands of business students globally. I sought to make an impact in the business education world. Mission accomplished!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
To have a work-life balance is the most difficult thing about being a working teacher and business owner.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Always keep your audience and ideal customer in mind.
- Focus on how best to serve your target market.
- Serve with purpose!
